Building an equal world for girls

Building an equal world for girls

Who are we?

We are Plan International UK, a global children’s charity striving for a fairer world. One where every girl can reach her full potential and choose her own future.

What do we do?

To create a better world to be a girl we respond to emergencies, deliver community development programmes and campaign with young people on issues that matter to them.

Where do we work?

Girls all over the world face inequality. That’s why we work in 80 countries around the world in Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Donate to the Children's Emergency Fund

Right now, children across the Middle East are caught in escalating violence. Terrified. Displaced. In need of safety. Many of them are girls who are especially vulnerable to harm. Plan International is responding in the region with life-saving support.

Donate to our Children’s Emergency fund so we can respond rapidly and help children in affected communities get the urgent and lifesaving relief they need including food, water, access to education and vital protection.

Leave a gift in your will

Standing with Plan International UK means helping girls write their own futures. We’ve made major strides forwards, but we aren’t stopping - especially when some of this progress is being undone.

Your support can protect those hard‑won gains. By leaving a gift in your will, you can help keep girls in school, build safer communities, and open doors to lifelong opportunities.

Be part of the change that empowers girls to lead, thrive, and transform their communities for generations. Find out more about leaving a gift in your will.

Stand with girls

The world has opened up for girls, but their rights stand on shaky ground. Because here’s the truth: progress on girls’ rights hasn’t gone far enough – and now it’s under attack.

But the plan is still on. Your support can help us to push back wherever progress is threatened. Together, we can protect every inch of ground girls have gained, and to stand with every girl in every crisis. Until we are all equal.

Donate

Children deserve to grow up in a world where they are safe and have access to education. Your donations can provide clean water points, safe spaces where children fleeing disasters can find comfort, and lessons in gender equality to equip the next generation of changemakers.

Together, with your donations, we can ensure children and young people get more of what they need to thrive right now.
