Our spokespeople

We have experts across the UK and globally, ready to comment on all aspects of our work – including our international development programmes and responses to humanitarian emergencies. Our spokespeople include:

Rose Caldwell, CEO

Appointed as Plan International UK’s CEO in 2019, Rose has over 20 years of senior leadership experience in NGOs. She can discuss all aspects of Plan International UK’s work. Rose currently chairs the International Broadcasting Trust, is a trustee of the Disaster Emergency Committee and has previously been on the board of BOND. Recognising the colonial construct of the global aid system, Rose has joined with other INGO leaders to develop the Pledge for Change initiative. The initiative is re-imagining the role of INGOs in the global humanitarian and development aid system.

Kathleen Spencer Chapman, Director of Influencing and External Affairs

Kathleen is a seasoned leader in global poverty and social justice issues. Experienced in offering expert commentary on topics ranging from girls’ rights in the UK, to the impact of government cuts to overseas aid budgets, she has been leading policy, advocacy and communications at Plan International UK since 2018. Kathleen has previously worked for NGOs and charities including Bond, Oxfam and NSPCC.

Bethan Lewis, Head of Humanitarian

As Head of the Humanitarian Unit at Plan International UK, Bethan can speak on a wide variety of the most pressing humanitarian crises today. With over 15 years working on crisis response across the world, Bethan has also led humanitarian teams at Save the Children, including as their Head of Syria response.

Nick Radmore, Director of Fundraising and Supporter Engagement

Nick has worked in the charity sector for over 20 years and, prior to joining Plan International UK, he led fundraising and marketing functions at some of the UK’s biggest charities – including the British Heart Foundation and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Nick is an expert in brand-building and driving charity effectiveness. He can speak about Plan International UK's brand and fundraising campaigns, as well as the charity sector more broadly.
