Neither of you will be the same
As soon as you sponsor a child, you’ll start to learn all about their hopes and dreams. You’ll receive:
- a profile and photo of your sponsored child
- a pack to prepare you for your sponsorship experience
- letters and drawings from your sponsored child
- annual updates from us about their progress
You can start writing as soon as you receive your pack, where you’ll find colourful postcards for you to use. Or you can wait for your first letter to arrive from your sponsored child, introducing themselves personally. You can even visit your sponsored child and see the difference you’re making in their community!
What is sponsorship?
Sponsorship gives you the chance to create a unique, personal connection with a child in one of the world’s poorest countries. Your donations won’t only help your sponsored child – you'll support the entire community to lift themselves out of poverty.
How are my donations spent?
Your donations support community based development projects. Every year we spend at least 80% of our money on charitable activities including our emergency response work and long-term development projects. The rest helps us raise vital funds for the future.
What will I receive?
A welcome pack with a photo of your sponsored child and information about them and their community. This will be followed by a letter or drawing from them, which you can respond to. You’ll also receive annual updates, so that you can follow your sponsored child's progress
