What information can you find here?
The basic unit of our work is a project. Projects can operate in single countries or multiple countries, and on a single thematic area (e.g. education) or multiple sectors (e.g. addressing child marriage through a combination of child protection, education and household income-raising activities). Projects have specific objectives and usually run for 1-4 years.

Notes
Sometimes, we remove some information from documents where inclusion might lead to risks, for example relating to security of staff, partners or beneficiaries, or because of commercial sensitivity.
Why publish?
We make our information public for three main reasons:
- We believe that the quality of the work we do can be enhanced by sharing information on it with those we intend to benefit and giving them the opportunity to provide feedback to us. There are more direct ways that we seek feedback from the children and communities we work with, but publishing on our website is nonetheless a contribution to that.
- We can help facilitate necessary coordination of development work by governments and others by making information available, particularly in a common format.
- Work funded through public bodies such as the UK Government is ultimately funded by taxpayers, and we believe that citizens everywhere have a right to know how their money is spent.
IATI compliance
Our data is published in a format that is compliant with the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) Standard. For those with the technical know-how and wishing to analyse data across countries and agencies, you can download our project data in XML format.
Plan International UK is proud to be among the leaders in transparency in terms of the range of data we make available on each project.
Plan International UK’s data is also published in the IATI Registry. This contains further project data in XML format, which can also be reviewed alongside the data of other organisations. View Plan International UK's entry in the IATI Registry.
