Response to UK's suspension of trade negotiations with Israel

"The Foreign Secretary is right: Israel is currently driving people from their homes to a fraction of Gaza and Israeli politicians themselves are calling this ethnic cleansing. Israel's actions are intolerable.

"We therefore welcome the news that the UK has suspended negotiations with the Israeli government on a new trade agreement, and we also welcome new sanctions on individual and entities involved in the settler movement in the West Bank for heinous abuses of human rights.

“We know through our work with local partners that Gazan children are enduring the worst horrors imaginable – starvation, disease, intensifying trauma. For their sake, this sickening violence must end immediately and the UK must act decisively to prevent genocide. The world cannot stand by as Israel deliberately starves and kills Palestinian children and their families.”
