Plan International UK launches urgent Children’s Emergency Appeal to support children impacted by the conflict in Gaza and Israel
Plan International UK has today launched a Children’s Emergency Appeal to support its work with vulnerable children and families suffering in the growing humanitarian crisis due to the conflict in Gaza and Israel.
The ongoing conflict in Gaza and Israel is resulting in a catastrophic humanitarian crisis with children at risk of perilous harm. Children are dying. They are scared, they are sheltering wherever they can and have seen unimaginable horrors.
Before the current escalation, 80% of the population in Gaza depended on humanitarian aid. Now, there are over two million Palestinians trapped inside Gaza – nearly half of them children, with water, food, medicines, and supplies running out.
Plan International’s humanitarian teams based in Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan are bracing for what comes next and preparing to support children and their families with life-saving assistance.
Plan International UK is calling on supporters and partners to donate today to the charity’s Children’s Emergency Appeal. Your donation will help provide lifesaving support to children and families affected by the crisis:
- £16 could provide girls in crisis with a period health kit
- £50 could provide 188 people with emergency bottles of water
- £105 could provide a family of six with essential food for a month
