Gaza's children are dying in a human-made hunger catastrophe

“In the last 72 hours, 21 children in Gaza have died of starvation and malnutrition. While the world looks on, 900,000 more children are suffering from extreme hunger. Words are beginning to fail in the face of this horror and devastation, as every day, more children are dying in an entirely human-made hunger catastrophe. 

“Israel is deliberately starving children: blocking life-saving aid at the borders, shooting those trying to access food at Israel-controlled distribution sites, and leaving families with no choice but to watch their children die painfully and needlessly. The world cannot let the weaponisation of hunger go on, and stern words and threats of sanctions from the UK Government are not enough to cancel out the horrors they are complicit in.  

“We renew our urgent calls for the end of all UK arms sales to Israel at once, an immediate and sustained ceasefire, and the lifting of Israel’s illegal blockade. The so-called ‘Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’ is a cruel deathtrap that has already killed hundreds of people, and must be dismantled immediately. We refuse to stand by while this suffering is normalised: no child should ever be subjected to such tragedy.”
