Thank you for choosing to give in memory of your loved one. We’re so grateful to play a small part in how you are remembering them. Your gift will keep more girls safe, in school and able to choose their own futures.

To make donating as simple as possible, we’ve included key information below about the different ways you can honour your loved one's memory. If you need any help, please email Sian and Sophia from our Legacies team and they’ll be in touch.

Ways to support in memory

Make a tribute page

You may like to create a free, online tribute fund. These pages are a free space to share special memories, photos and stories, as well as collect donations for Plan International UK. These pages stay open for as long as you like and can be used to commemorate anniversaries and special moments over time.

Fundraise with JustGiving

A JustGiving page is a simple way to raise funds in memory of someone special, while sharing messages and memories from family and friends. You can also dedicate a run, walk, swim, or other event to your loved one and invite others to support your fundraising.

Organise a collection

Many supporters choose to raise donations in lieu of giving flowers at a funeral. It’s a meaningful way to celebrate their loved one’s life, while also helping to create a more equal future for girls around the world. Our team or a funeral director can support you with this.

If it is easier, you can also send cheques in the post. Please include your name, and the name of your loved one, and post to: Plan International UK, Discovery House, 28-42 Banner Street, London, EC1Y 8QE. Cheques should be made payable to Plan International UK.

Their legacy will reach girls around the world

In 2025, generous donations made it possible to reach nearly 6 million children, young people, and their communities including:

  • Engaging parents, schools and community leaders to make sure girls can go to school in Mozambique
  • Building new toilets and washing facilities at schools in Bangladesh so girls can stay in the classroom during their periods
  • Supporting early learning centres in Togo so that children can learn key skills through play

A gift made in memory of someone special can help create a fairer world for girls, both today and for years to come.

Looking after yourself

Losing someone you love is never easy and we know that this can be an incredibly challenging time. You don’t have to deal with this loss alone; there are lots of services that may be helpful.

Bereavement Advice Centre supports and advises people on what they need to do after a death. They also have trained advisors who can offer you a practical advice at this difficult time.

Cruse is a network of local bereavement services offering face-to-face support both individually and in groups, or by telephone helpline.

You can also find more advice about managing bereavement on the NHS website.
