Gift Aid

What is Gift Aid?

  1. Gift Aid allows us to reclaim the tax you have paid on all qualifying donations to Plan International UK's work. This increases the value of your donations by 25% at no extra cost.
  2. You must pay an amount of UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains tax at least equal to the tax Plan International UK will reclaim on your donations during each tax year.
  3. Completing a Gift Aid declaration does not affect your tax status or commit you to supporting Plan International UK's work for a specified length of time.
  4. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment tax return.
