Sponsor a Girl Appeal

Thank you for your interest in sponsoring a girl like Sofia with Plan International UK.

Sofia dreams of going to school and learning. But when she wakes up, the nightmare starts. Because this 11-year-old girl is married to a man three times her age. He doesn’t let her go to school, instead she cooks and cleans all day.

Will you Sponsor a girl like Sofia today and help her realise her dreams instead? You’ll help girls go to school by training teachers, improving safety at school and ensuring girls have equal opportunities to learn. When a girl goes to school, she’s not forced to marry - instead she can achieve incredible things for herself, her family and her community.

You’ll see the change for yourself, with the opportunity to share letters, drawings and photos with your sponsored child and their family. And, with at least 80p in every pound you donate going directly to projects in the country where your sponsored child lives, you’ll know you're making a lasting difference for girls and boys alike.
