Nepal: Urgent need to rebuild schools
On 25th April 2015 Nepal was devastated by a major earthquake that struck just outside the capital, Kathmandu. In one district, 95 percent of schools were damaged or destroyed.
We need your help to rebuild an entire school in Nepal. Without schools, girls and boys are left unprotected and at risk of trafficking, child labour, abuse and exploitation.

Amazing family experience
"Supporting Plan International with these projects has not only helped to create a better education for hundreds of children around the world, but we have witnessed first-hand how the projects build a stronger community, with new re-usable skills."
"As a family, these projects have opened our eyes to parts of the world that we would otherwise never have seen. For us this is an amazing personal experience, for which we would describe as being unique and priceless."
“We would thoroughly recommend philanthropists to get further involved with Plan International projects.”

A day which changed our view of the world
"With each project I have funded with Plan International, my admiration and respect has increased."
"Plan International works closely with local people to improve lives in practical ways through water and sanitation projects to education, micro finance, entrepreneurship and business enterprise."
"On our visit to Ghana, we were shown around the school we funded, met villagers, exchanged gifts with the children, shared lunch and at the end of the day somehow found the energy for game of football. A day we will never forget. A day which changed our view of the World."

LEARNING IN UGANDA
Children in Northern Uganda are still suffering from civil conflict which ended over six years ago. During the 20 years of unrest, schools were destroyed, teachers disappeared and communities scattered.
In Lira today, children are housed in dilapidated classrooms, with class sizes 50% larger than the national average.
With support from people like you, Plan International UK is helping 5,000 children get the education they need for a good start in life. Our project works in six schools to create environments where all children can thrive.
