Partnering with Uniglobe
Uniglobe has raised over £100,000 for Plan International, in support of our Because I am a Girl campaign.
Uniglobe employees climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and raised over £35,000 to fund a new dormitory block for girls at a school in Tanzania. The new dormitory means girls don't have to walk several miles to reach school, significantly reducing the rate of school drop-outs.
A few years later, Uniglobe staff trekked up to Machu Picchu and raised over £30,000 to support girls in Peru. Currently Uniglobe employees are supporting children, epecially girls return to shcool in Sierra Leone following the Ebola outbreak.
raising money for a good cause
Mark, who has taken part in all of the company’s fundraising challenges said:
"We all achieved individual goals, and bonded as a team while raising money for a very good cause."
Supporting Orphans after Ebola
Almost 4,000 people died from the spread of the Ebola virus in Sierra Leone.
Thousands of children were left without parents, forcing some, particularly adolescent girls, to drop out of school to care for their younger siblings.
Money raised by Uniglobe staff is allowing Plan International to provide counselling to children, giving them bedding and clothing and helping young people to return to school.
