At one mobile health camp
Happiness is a healthy baby
Debra was one of the first arrivals at the mobile health camp.
“I brought my baby Mariam today to prevent and treat any condition. I also came to be checked because I am pregnant," she told us.
Happiness is a thriving child
Irene has eight children, so taking a sick baby to the nearest clinic three kilometres away would be impossible.
At the mobile health camp, baby Syipi was checked and Irene was given a therapeutic food supplement for her daughter, as well as advice on feeding her a nutritious diet.
Happiness is a bright future
At a mobile health camp, everyone works as a team to reach as many children as possible – saving thousands of young lives and keeping more families together.
When a family arrives, their medical history is taken and children are checked, weighed and measured. Children are immunised to protect them from deadly diseases and treated promptly if they are ill or malnourished.
And because parents are taught about health, hygiene and nutrition, they have the best possible chance of bringing up children who are fit and well.
Happiness is being together
Mobile health camps supported by Plan International help thousands of children, but countless families can’t access this care and treatment. Your act of kindness could bring healthcare like this to more communities.
Will you give the gift of hope this Christmas, so families like Babuza's can stay together? Please make a donation to help us reach more families and save more young lives.
Families like Babuza's wouldn’t be together without support like yours. Thank you.
