Twins, Mary and Martha are now officially recognised as citizens of Ghana with the help of a birth certificate.
Without birth registration, children lack any identity - they are not counted as part of the population and go invisible their whole lives. Having their births registered has opened up a world of opportunities for Mary and Martha, including basic rights and services of healthcare, education and protection.
Water for everyone
What would it be like to share your water tap with 600 people?
In the mountainous village where 12-year-old Swastika lives, there was only one tap to serve the whole village for years! With your help, there is now a tap in Swastika’s school and 36 more taps to serve the whole community.
