Thank you for changing childrens realities

THANK YOU

YOU'RE HELPING TO CHANGE CHILDREN'S REALITIES

We recognise the potential of every single child. But poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination mean that children born into the world’s poorest communities face harsh realities day in, day out. And it’s girls who are most affected.

That’s why your kind regular gifts are so important. With your help, we’ll continue to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world. From protection from abuse and providing essentials such as water, food and healthcare, to ensuring girls and boys have equal opportunities to learn, you’ll see the difference you’ll make.

We’re so glad to have you on this journey with us. Together with your support and our expertise on the front line, your donations will start changing children’s realities straight away. We look forward to sharing children’s progress with you from across the world - India to Haiti, Kenya to Nepal and Bolivia to Zimbabwe.

A REAL DIFFERENCE FOR ROYCE

In Zambia it's the poorest girls, like Royce, who are most at risk of child marriage. Royce was forced to marry a stranger at just 15.

Thanks to support from Plan International UK, she found the strength to escape her abusive marriage. Now she's not only determined to complete her education, but she's helping other girls defend their rights, stand up to child marriage and stay in school too.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What does Plan International do?

We are experts in children’s rights and promoting equality for girls. We have 80 years’ experience in protecting children from abuse and providing girls and boys with equal access to food, water, healthcare and education. Over 32 million children benefited from these projects last year alone.

How are my donations spent?

From protecting girls from violence, to assisting children and their communities to beat poverty, you’ll make a lasting difference. Every year, we spend at least 80% on our charitable activities including our emergency response work and long-term development projects. The rest helps us raise vital funds for the future.

How will I see the difference?

You’ll hear directly from inspiring children you’re helping through regular SMS updates and see for yourself how you’re changing children's reality day by day. If you've any questions about our work, give our friendly team a call on 0300 777 9779 or email [email protected]

WE'RE ON THE FRONT LINE

Responding to emergencies

When earthquakes or floods strike, we're there with life-saving supplies and shelter. Then we set up temporary schools so children don’t miss out on their education as we help their community rebuild and become better prepared for future disasters.

Keeping children healthy

Across the poorest countries we’re providing children with access to safe, clean water in their schools and communities, training health workers and providing essential life-saving vaccinations and mosquito nets.

Ensuring girls and boys can learn

As well as training teachers and supplying school books, we help protect girls from harmful practices like child marriage so they have equal opportunities to learn. We also ensure schools are safe, so they can continue their education.
