Champions of Change
Our partnership kicked off in Colombia, where we have developed a football-themed Champions of Change project. With support from Chelsea FC, we are working with over 1,000 boys and girls and their families across five communities in some of the most deprived areas in Bolivar, Colombia.
In a country where gangs, guns and domestic violence blight the lives of many young people, we’re using football to teach young people about equality, respect and tolerance. Our approach is proven to transform lives: girls stay in school longer and marry later, while boys learn to be respectful of their female peers.
Together, we can transform the lives of thousands of girls and boys around the world.
raising thousands for refugees
In autumn 2015, Chelsea FC raised more than £50,000 for Plan International’s refugee appeal. Today, that money is making a huge difference to the lives of young Syrians who have fled to Egypt.
Thanks to Chelsea FC, we’re helping make sure children can get the education they’ve missed out on because of the war, providing ‘school kits’ that include uniforms, socks and shoes, stationery and books.
