South Coast Challenge

A spectacular route along the South Coast including stunning countryside, spectacular cliffs and magnificant sea views.

When: 25-26 August 2018

Registration fee: £40-70 (depending on distance)

Sponsorship pledge: £150-395 (depending on distance)

Setting off from Eastbourne, you’ll head along the coastal path where you’ll be able to enjoy the panoramic vistas at Beachy Head, 162m above sea level.

After a stopover at the halfway point in Brighton, you’ll head out with head torches and glowsticks for one of the most demanding parts of the challenge.

At 80km there’s another stop over to refuel and reenergise, before you descend into historic Arundel via the river Arun. At the finish you’ll get to celebrate with a glass of bubbly and receive your much-deserved medal.

"Together we can fight for their rights"

Taniel, 18, is a member of Plan International Goals for Peace group in São Luís, Brazil which uses football to promote gender equality and peace.

Nowadays, it inspires me when I see girls standing up for themselves and calling for gender equality. Girls deserve to have a voice and it makes me want to fight for girls’ rights too.
