Every 2 seconds a girl like Elsa is forced to marry while she’s just a child. Girls as young as 12 are being told this is an honour. It is not an honour, its abuse. These young girls suffer violence, abuse and rape as a result of child marriage. What’s more, they’re taken out of school and denied the chance to make choices about their futures.
Harmful practices like child marriage and violence against girls won’t go away overnight. Our Girls Fund supporters enable long-term projects that empower girls most at risk. From raising awareness of the real dangers of child marriage to training teachers and providing school books so girls can stay in school, Girls Fund supporters help change young girls’ lives.
Will you help girls like Elsa with a regular donation to the Girls Fund? You’ll help build safer communities that value girls and protect them from child marriage and other harmful practices. You’ll help them stay in school where they can learn and thrive. Vitally, you’ll help protect the rights of girls everywhere.

SUPPORT THE GIRLS FUND TO:
SEE HOW YOU'LL CHANGE GIRLS' LIVES
Support the Girls Fund and you’ll receive updates from girls like 10-year-old Resma in Bangladesh. In her community, girls as young as ten are forced into marriage, even though it’s illegal.
Thanks to Girls Fund supporters, we're helping girls in Bangladesh obtain official birth certificates, like this one Resma is proudly displaying.
Birth certificates are an effective way to help girls break tradition. They enable girls like Resma to prove they're too young to marry and ensure their rights are heard.
