Game-Changing Opportunities for Young People

How our partnership with DAZN will change the lives of young people all over the world

No matter where you are in the world, sport has the power to unite communities and empower young people. With our partner DAZN, the leading global sports streaming platform, we have reached over 30,000 children and young people in India and Brazil, using sport to empower girls and boys to access education and campaign for gender equality.

With the ‘Empowerment Through Sport’ project in Brazil, we’ve been working with communities to tackle harmful gender stereotypes and football has been at the very centre of our work throughout. It provides an opportunity for girls and boys to train together and realise the strength and skill of one another.

The value that boys have, girls also have. There must be equality... We are a team and it's time for us to show what we can do... Girls can be whatever they want. It does not matter if the hair is of a different colour, if it is straight or if it is curly, what matters is that they are happy.

CREATING AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD

Our work in Brazil has created opportunities for young people to learn about gender equality through sport.

In Brazil we’ve also supported the next generation of athletes with referee training, hundreds of donated sports kits and equipment and the refurbishment of community sports pitches.

Now, we are taking our partnership with DAZN global and together we will deliver game-changing opportunities for children and young people around the world! DAZN will support Plan International’s critical work in 75 countries, reaching millions of young people whose odds are stacked against them. From providing children living in refugee camps with child-friendly spaces to play, to training girls in leadership skills, DAZN’s support will change the lives of children and young people worldwide.
