Changing Lives through Innovative Partnerships
The SAWRP (South Asia Wash Results Programme) has an innovative partnership that brings together NGOs, private sector actors and academic institutions in the UK, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The partnership is led by Plan International UK, and implemented together with WaterAid, Unilever, Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) and Plan International. Each organisation works through national partner NGOs in Pakistan and Bangladesh and in close collaboration with relevant local, regional and national government stakeholders. Ipsos MORI and Loughborough University (WEDC) are supporting the monitoring, verification and evaluation components.
SAWRP is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) under the wider DFID WASH Results Programme which aims to improve the access to adequate sanitation and hygiene of 60 million people globally.
