Award-winning journalist and special correspondent Alex Crawford talked to Marie O'Riordan and an invited audience about her passion for girls' rights on Tuesday 4 February at the Frontline Club.
Alex spoke movingly about the plight of young girls she'd encountered in conflict and disaster situations around the world, and called unequivocally for an end of violence against women and girls. She emphasised her belief in the importance of education for both girls and boys.
She also discussed her unconventional childhood in Nigeria and Zimbabwe, and how she worked her way up from local newspapers to her current role as Sky's Special Correspondent.
The Talk was introduced by Plan Youth Advisory Panel member Keya, who talked about Plan's work to ensure girls across the world can reach their potential.
Plan UK CEO Tanya Barron closed the Talk with a call for people to join Plan International's Because I Am A Girl campaign.
We would like to thank Alex and Marie for a truly inspiring evening. Thanks also to Sky News for the use of footage and images of Alex.
